Part of MySpace News's brand strategy was to balance the sense of news integrity with MySpace culture. News widgets, ads, and bling were part of bringing utility and product promotion together. Opportunities to expand the news aggregation service and ways to integrate news into other properties and verticals were explored.

These ads were served within MySpace pages. Some featured light Flash animation. The ads feature news headlines were served via Flash pulling in RSS headlines.
Featured Bloggers was a mutual advertising agreement where select bloggers would receive ad space on MySpace News and in return could post a blue-ribbon badge on their site that linked back to MySpace News.
RSS reader widget for www.myspace.com. Since advertisers could purchase the rights to skin an entire page with ads, the RSS reader here has a more sedate look to contrast with the visual noise on the page.
Another version of an RSS reader for www.myspace.com features the news displayed on an animated rolling block. Each side of the block represents a different news category.
