When the user is looking at a list view of their inbox or folder, Smartr shows an overview of their contacts. This includes a rotating photogrid of people in their address book, a feed featuring recent social updates from people they've recently interacted with, and toggle to view custom Twitter and Facebook feeds of their top contacts.
The Twitter Top Contacts feed features any tweets from the user's top contacts, whether they are followed or not. A great way to find people to follow, this feed is prioritized by with whom you communicate the most right now. This list can also be accessed via Twitter.com.
View of a contact's profile on the social tab. This profile will automatically be displayed when viewing an email thread with this contact. It can also be found via search.

The social tab features photos and updates from Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to create a social portrait that can be understood at a glance. Clicking a section will also drill down to display more profile details.
The Relationship History tab on a contact profile provides the user with a histogram of the past year's communications. It also includes a summary paragraph, so you can instantly know what past communications have taken place, and how you were first introduced to that person. Top 3 mutual contacts are also shown as a memory jog.
Many times, emails are exchanged with people you already know well. Smartr Inbox can be minimized to provide personal touches like photo, name, job title, and quick links while allowing you to focus on your tasks.
When you're viewing a thread with multiple participants, Smartr creates a small business card for each person. This allows you to quickly scan who's in the conversation and respond appropriately. Clicking on each business card will take you to a full profile view of that contact.
Smartr Inbox also inserts Xobni Autosuggest. This provides you with your contacts, ordered by rank, with photo, name, and job title (imitated by a later Gmail release). Xobni Autosuggest also provides you with access to Social Autosuggest after you've added at least one recipient. This enables you to quickly add contacts you commonly email with that first person.
Smartr Inbox also provides you with instant access to your Smartr Address Book via search.
Smartr Inbox can also be themed to match your favorite Gmail theme.
Keep your communications in context with the Recent Communications tab. It provides a comprehensive list of all communications exchanged with that contact across different email addresses and Facebook messages. A great way to reference past conversations, you can click each message summary to view that message in the sidebar. You can also open the thread in Gmail or Facebook.
